My brother and I bought "Panzer Blitz" the AH game when we were in high school. We had no idea who to play the game, but it looked neat. My Dad built 1/72nd scale WWII models , loved military history, and installed the love of history in us. There was a copy of the "General" , a AH wargame magazine in the Panzer Blitz game. In the back was a wargame opponents wanted listing, and there was a wargame club in our city. I remember telling my brother not to call them as they were probably weirdos. He did called anyway, but I was right. We have been gaming over 30 years now.
Casarian R*m*ns, 5th Ed. WRG. I still have 4 stands of Numidan LH serving in my 25mm Poeni army from this army. I sold the R*m*ns into slavery long ago.
My Carthos are my favorite. The idea of recreating Hannibal's brilliance appeals to me. The Carthos are a classic army, and not overwhelming in any one area. They can be configured in many different ways and I've always enjoyed playing them. They are a toolkit army, but as my friend Lee says, "sometimes you have to use a spanner wrench as a hammer."
