How did you get into wargaming ?I was introduced by a school friend, starting with Airfix Napoleonics and Bruce Quarries " Napoleons Campaigns in Miniature" What was your first army, and where are they now ? First army was (not unsurprisingly British Airfix Napoleonic. My first ancient army was Atlantic Egyptians. What's your favorite army and/or set of figures in your possession, and why? The Greeks. Obviously!

1. Dune
An absolute SF classic, well written and quite different to anything else.

Harrington series by David Weber
Would really recommend these to any gamer - an excellent series of SF books.

Gunpowder God, by H Beam Piper.
The first alternative history book - very good classic science fiction.

I have always liked Robert E Howard's books. The Conan stories are not his best stuff but are the most well known.
